Prior to the release of their own home console, Nintendo licensed out the Donkey Kong IP to Coleco to develop adaptations of the game on existing home video game consoles, the first being the Atari 2600.

This version features only 2 levels, 25m and 100m, and also removed the cutscenes, and features much simpler graphics.
